Welcome!

In 2012,  after my kids turned three and four in what felt like one season, I resigned from an executive post in high tech to pursue my writing passion and philanthropic interest in economic solutions for marginalized populations. In 2016, I sold I Liked My Life to St. Martin's Press. It has since been published in six languages, hit the bestseller list in Germany, and was a Goodreads Reader Choice and Audie Award finalist in fiction. 

In 2017, I co-founded Empower Her Network, a national 501(c)3 with an innovative approach  paving paths to fiscal independence for trafficking survivors. 

I believe in systematic giving as a means to decolonize wealth. More than 20% of my net proceeds are donated.
